Are there any other people in our tour?
Not at all. This is reserved for you and your party, meaning that you will be able to enjoy the ride with your people, at your leisure.
How many people can comfortably fit in your vehicle?
The two vehicles shown will accommodate the following.

What if we are a bigger group?
No problem. We work in conjunction with another Christchurch company that will be able to facilitate your requirements, with a range of vehicles for larger tour groups
What time do we start the tour?
The uniqueness of Ascot Tours provides the opportunity for you to work closely with us, to establish your requirements, meaning you can start when you want, upon availability of dates.
What if I have already seen something on the tour itinerary?
Not an issue.We will leave that part of the tour out and travel to another site.
Is there a price difference if our group is smaller than the vehicle seat numbers and we only have 1 or 2 people?
You can email us directly and we will provide specific pricing for the desired tour numbers, thereby eliminating any hidden costs and surprises.
Can we be picked up in any designated area in the South Island?
Certainly, provided we have advanced warning and the domiciled destination for pick up is confirmed at the time of booking.
What are my commitments to the driver for overnight accommodation?
For accessibility, your driver stays at the same facility as the guests and pays for his expenses and accommodation, which is costed into the tour price.
How much should I tip my guide?
It is not customary to tip the tour guide in New Zealand; however meals on tour for your driver are normally covered by the guest as a courtesy. If you have been given excellent service, any gratuity you consider appropriate, will be greatly appreciated by your tour guide.
How far in advance should I book my tour?
As soon as you have your travel plans confirmed would be ideal. Be mindful that private tours are not offered in bulk, therefore forward planning is highly recommended, as peak seasons can be hectic. We can work with you to achieve the best outcome.
I have children travelling with me. Are booster seats available?
We can only cater for children taller than 148cm (58 inches) as we do not provide booster seats, required by law for children less than 148cm tall.
What currency do you quote in?
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include 15% GST ( Goods and services tax).
