Specialising in providing a range of destinations, sightseeing and points of interest in and around the greater Canterbury Region.

Pat has lived in the Canterbury Province all his life and has an intimate knowledge of the region, both in the urban and rural communities.

He is happy to work with his clients, to ascertain their preferences and enable them to experience many of the places not covered by the mainstream tours. For the more adventurous Pat has a 4wd vehicle suitable for off road country excursions.

Pat spent most of his working life in the passenger transport service industry, varying from luxury coach tour manager/driver, as well as a personal chauffeur guide on limousine tours around the South Island and for the last 18 years as a career Ambulance Officer with the Order of St John in Christchurch. Passenger safety at all times is of paramount importance to Pat and as such he holds a certificate in advanced driving competence.

The philosophy being that his visitors can relax and enjoy the experience that provincial Canterbury and the South Island has to offer.

Pat has also considerable 4 wheel driving experience in the South Island High Country and holds a certificate in 4WD specialist driver training in the Search & Rescue environment.

As a small business, Ascot Tailored Tours Limited has the flexibility to construct a purpose built itinerary for 1- 6 people in the Mercedes Luxury Van and up to 4 people in the 4WD. If extra luggage need to be carried (golf clubs etc) this is not a problem as we have a fully enclosed luggage trailer that can be towed behind either vehicle. As we try and accommodate clients looking for something more memorable than the standard tourist offering, with pick up and drop off to their local destination by mutual arrangement.
